The product list

What we use in your home

Safer Choice is a label from the EPA for a product, after the EPA reviews its ingredients. We name the program and the product. We never name ourselves as the thing it certifies.

  • EPA Safer Choice

    All-purpose spray

For counters, sinks, tables and sealed cabinet fronts. We dilute a concentrate into refillable bottles at our shop.

    • Product name and label number in your first-visit email

    • Fragrance-free version on the list

  • EPA Safer Choice

    Glass and mirror cleaner

For windows we can reach inside, mirrors and shower glass, wiped dry with a clean cloth.

    • Product name and label number in your first-visit email

    • Fragrance-free version on the list

  • EPA Safer Choice

    Bathroom cleaner

For tubs, tile, toilets and sinks. We rinse it off; we do not leave it to dry on a surface.

    • Product name and label number in your first-visit email

    • Fragrance-free version on the list

  • EPA Safer Choice

    Floor cleaner

For sealed hardwood, vinyl and tile, applied with a damp mop and a washed pad.

  • EPA Safer Choice

    Laundry detergent

For our cloths and mop pads, washed at our shop between homes, never in yours.

    • Fragrance-free version on the list

Equipment and water

What is on the list with no certifier

  • Microfiber cloths

Washed at our shop and kept to one home per load. They carry no label of their own.

  • HEPA-filter vacuum

A vacuum with a HEPA filter, emptied outside your home. It is equipment, so there is nothing to certify.

  • Water

The main ingredient in every dilution. We dilute concentrates at our shop, into bottles we refill.

Plain limits

What we do not claim

Cleaning language is loose, and a household with allergies reads it closely. This is what we leave out of this site, our emails and our invoices.

Four things we leave out

  • We do not say “chemical-free.” Every product is chemicals, water included, so we name each one.

  • We do not claim a certification for Sprig. Safer Choice labels belong to products, not to us.

  • We do not say “allergen-free.” We damp-wipe and vacuum to cut the dust we can reach, and we cannot promise your symptoms change.

  • We do not say “disinfected” unless you ask. Then we use an EPA-registered product, for the contact time on its label.

Questions about the list

Can I see the labels before the first visit?

Yes. We send the product list by email once you request a clean, and we can send photos of each label on request.

What if I want something left off the list?

Tell us at the walkthrough. We remove it from your list and clean without it, and we say so on the checklist.

Do you use a disinfectant?

Not unless you ask. When you do, we use an EPA-registered disinfectant and follow the contact time on its label.

Are your products fragrance-free?

Fragrance-free versions are on the list. Ask for them and we use them at every visit.

Ask for the list

Request a first clean and the product list arrives before anyone does.
